Engines
Full-size power meets full-size capability in the new Nissan Armada, which works with an advanced 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. These performance outputs shatter the SUV competition.
Both built by General Motors, the GMC Yukon and Chevy Tahoe share the same powerplants. The Yukon and Tahoe deliver 355 standard horsepower through a V8 engine. Even the 6.2-liter V8 engine is less powerful, only reaching an output of 420 horsepower. A Duramax® Turbo-Diesel engine is offered as a third powertrain but produces 120 less horsepower than the Armada.
Towing
More power means more pull, as the Nissan Armada touts a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds. Families from Rockingham can pull their boat or camper with a Nissan Armada by their side. Towing for the GMC Yukon maxes out at 8,200 pounds, while the Chevy Tahoe tops out at 8,400 pounds.
