Performance Advantages
Compared to the Chevrolet Trax, the 2026 Nissan Kicks now comes with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 141 horsepower, offering more power and sharper acceleration than the Trax's smaller 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower. Additionally, the Kicks offers available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD), a vital feature for navigating slippery roads and all-weather conditions, which the front-wheel-drive-only Chevy Trax does not provide.
Compared to the Honda HR-V, both vehicles provide smooth everyday driving, but the Kicks produces slightly more torque at 140 pound-feet compared to the HR-V's 138 pound-feet, resulting in more responsive low-end acceleration. The Nissan Kicks also offers better fuel efficiency, with an estimated 31 MPG combined (28 city/35 highway), which is more economical than the HR-V's 28 MPG combined.
